For suppliers and manufacturers

We are only as good as the people we buy from.

Bridge & Block Marine sources certified engine spares and bridge electronics for ship owners, managers and repair yards. Every part we quote carries our name alongside yours — which is why we're deliberate about who we buy from, and why we tell suppliers exactly what we expect before the first enquiry rather than after.

What we look for

Approval you can evidence

Classification-society Approval of Manufacturers for engine components, current Type Approval for electronics. We verify against the issuing register rather than taking a claim on trust, and we ask for documentation before an item goes in front of a customer.

Speed that protects our turnaround

We answer every enquiry inside twelve hours. That only works if our suppliers come back inside twenty-four with a price, a lead time, and the certification to support both.

Depth on legacy items

Superseded part numbers and discontinued components are where we're most useful to our customers. A supplier who can cross-reference an obsolete number, or who holds stock for engines the makers have moved on from, is worth more to us than one who only handles current lines.

Straight dealing when something goes wrong

Everything is fine until a shipment is short or a certificate doesn't match. How a supplier handles that is the whole relationship — and we'd rather learn it by asking than discover it on a customer's order.

How we work together

What reaches you from us is a complete requirement, not a vague enquiry. Vessel and IMO number, engine maker and type, part number and manual reference, quantity, delivery port and required date — checked for completeness before it's sent, so your quoting time goes on pricing rather than chasing basics.

We hold the customer relationship end to end: the clarifying questions, the technical back-and-forth, delivery coordination and documentation. You quote; we handle the rest.

What we ask in return is consistency. A quote inside twenty-four hours where you can cover the item, and a clear no where you can't — the same standard we hold ourselves to. Certification supplied with the quote, not after the order. And early notice when a lead time moves, because a date we've given a superintendent is a date we intend to keep.

What to send us

If you manufacture, stock or distribute within our families, tell us:

  • The part families and engine makers you cover
  • The approvals you hold, and the societies that issued them
  • Your typical quoting turnaround
  • Your stock position on legacy and superseded items
  • The ports you deliver to, and the Incoterms you work on
  • Your standard lead times, current-line and legacy

A capability list and your approval documentation is enough to begin. If there's a fit, you'll hear back quickly. If there isn't, you'll hear that too.
