Standards we check

Four checks behind every sourcing decision

We verify documentation and approval status before a part is ever presented to you.

Ship bridge navigation instruments

SOLAS Type Approval

Every navigation electronics product we source carries valid Type Approval status, verified against the issuing society's register before it's ever offered to a buyer.

Marine engineering and inspection

Classification-Society Approval of Manufacturers

Every engine spare we source comes from a manufacturer holding valid classification-society Approval of Manufacturers status.

Material certification

Material Certification

Where applicable we obtain material certificates for high-wear components — cylinder liners, piston rings, valves and separator parts — typically to EN 10204 3.1, and 3.2 where a class surveyor's countersignature is required. Certificates are supplied with the quotation.

Port and certification verification

Ongoing Verification

Certification status is checked before every part is sourced, not just once — standards change, and we check every time.

What our verification is, and what it isn't

Our checks are documentary. We confirm that a manufacturer holds current approval and that the certification presented for an item is valid and applicable at the time of quotation. We are not a classification society and we do not perform independent survey, testing or inspection. Where a part requires witnessed testing or a surveyor's attendance, we arrange it with the relevant society and pass the results to you unaltered.
